Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Kigali

Arrive into Kigali International airport (either from Nairobi or connecting flight), meet and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel or similar. BB

Days 2 Virunga Mountains

Breakfast, and then depart for a full morning city tour and a visit to the Gisozi Genocide Museum. Thereafter drive via Milles De Collins hotel where the movie “Hotel Rwanda” was filmed. Drive to the Virunga Mountains that are shared by Uganda and the Congo. These mysterious mountains are home to the mystical endangered mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Lodge or similar. LDBB

Days 3 Virunga Mountains

After breakfast, depart for the park gate, engage in a gorilla trek briefing and start your gentle hike up the thick rain forest. A gorilla encounter cannot be explained. This is where “Mountains of the Moon” movie was filmed. After your awesome time shared with these gentle giants, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Lodge or similar. LDBB

Days 4 Departure

Breakfast and then return to Kigali City for your onward flight back home.
