Featured Accommodation

Elephant Pepper Camp

Maasai Mara
Elephant Pepper is a lovely little bush camp set just outside the northern boarder of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. It has nine large airy tents which have recently been renovated. They are very comfortable each with en suite bathrooms with hot bucket showers and flush toilets and hammocks strung in trees outside each tent. There is a lovely honeymoon tent on the far end of the camp, enjoying 180 degree views of the plains, and where you can enjoy private dining if you choose.

The main dining and lounge area has a very relaxed atmosphere with a help-yourself bar and very friendly staff on hand to assist at any time. There is also a viewing platform overlooking a salt lick — great for enjoying some wildlife viewing whilst in the camp.

Cottars 1920's Safari Camp

Maasai Mara
The award-winning Cottar’s 1920s Safari Camp and private Bush Villa are located in the famous ‘seventh’ natural wonder of the world, the Maasai Mara in Kenya. Offering a bespoke safari experience, it’s owned and managed by the oldest established and continuing safari family in Africa. The Cottar family provide genuinely stunning wildlife and wilderness experiences, engaging in the original spirit and essence of ‘safari’: an abundance of wildlife, a guarantee of privacy, and the highest standards of professional guiding, in a luxurious and authentic safari environment.

Cottars is set down to the South East of the Mara away from the crowds of the more popular western Mara region. On the whole the guiding is good from the camp and the experience of riding through the bush in a replica 20s car is novel. The region has good resident prides and, due to its secluded location, has an intimate safari feel. One of the most unique camps in Kenya
